A UK FREC 4 qualified, now Student Paramedic who works and volunteers in the medical, water rescue, and marine animal conservation sectors. Providing freelance medical cover within these sectors; also providing First Aid Training and Lifeguard/Water Safety Training.

RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Gen 9/10, Lifeguarding since 16, believing attention and prevention to be the biggest skills of the job. Teaching newly qualified staff and assisting the management team with on the floor decisions.
RLSS Open Water Lifeguard shore based water safety for swimming events. Having been safety manager and team leader for large summer events, using my pre-hospital experience to provide advanced care such as improvising stretchers.
My water rescue and clinical experience makes me great for your private hire. Notably during filming, kid clubs, and small/private events such as parties or weddings. Able to produce evacuation and emergency action plans for events isolated by causeways or tidal crossings, such as Osea Island. A First Responder Bag, Throwbag, and Torpedo Buoy can be provided.
With Powerboat Level 2, internal training, and Atlantic Pacific SAR Fundamentals, I have travelled the UK providing work on Rescue Boats and Lifeboats for non-tidal/coastal waters. Providing rescue at events such as the World Triathlon Series, London Triathlon, T100 series, and the 2024 Paralympic Qualifiers.
Proving safety to fellow kayakers and paddleboarders, whilst out with youth, with the canoe club, or at events such as Triathlon or 24hr swim races, Level Water and Festivals.
In the near future gaining my Advanced Powerboat, Commercial endorsement, and Powerboat Instructor. With the possibility of work as a Zodiac driver in the Atlantic, or volunteering in the Mediterranean with NGO's to rescue refugees. Combining both the ocean and medicine.
A part of British Diver Marine Life Rescue as a Marine Mammal Medic, I've driven across East Anglia and the South East Coast. Assessing, relaying, releasing, Grey and Common Seals. I still have lots to learn in this sector, but can assess and handle these wild animals to safe effect. Full appreciation to the rehabilitation centres and coordinators that support us.
With the area coordinator away, I led the response to the dual Pilot Whale stranding at Canvey Island. A long 13hr job ensuring the welfare of our Marine Mammal Medics, whilst coordinating resources, utilising JESIP principles to work with Vets, Coastguard, Mud Rescue Teams, USAR, Fire Drone Team, and 3 Fire Appliances. This was an incredible learning experience and personal development opportunity.
Combining my Lifeboat experience and BDMLR work, I hope to be part of research expeditions, and progress into our Large Whale Disentanglement Team.
Having been through ASA 1-7, and Rookie Lifeguard myself I started to find my interest in teaching when watching and assisting with lessons whilst lifeguarding. I now teach under Swim England Level 2, having taught at mainstream schools, and at a small private swim schools.
A Royal Life Saving Society Trainer Assessor, I train and assess Pool/Open Water Lifeguards across East Anglia, South East, and London. Also providing other RLSS courses such as NRASTC, WRET, ATPRA, SPERA.
Providing education and awareness to the public and youth groups. This is through tailored talks such as teaching about Ice, Cold Water Shock, or Hypothermia. Also, through recognised programs such as Water Rescue Equipment Training, and RLSS Save a Life Series.
Using my Level 3 Award in Education and Training, I routinely provide First Aid at Work training, including EFAW, PEFAW, PFAW.
I am part of a team that provides First Aid at Work to a security firm. Providing quarterly tailored CPD, with trauma training and large scale moulages to this London security firm, which includes servicemen from the Royal Gurkha Regiments.
Currently FREC4 (PHEM Descriptor E), and soon to qualify as a Paramedic (PHEM Descriptor G), I hope to teach advanced courses such as FREC pathway, Casualty Care, whilst teaching Student Paramedics on shift as a mentor, and at University as an Associate Lecturer.
